But I wonder: Why do we have to remove "threaded comments"? I really would like to know. I am a bit sorry I had to remove "threaded coments" - I believe it is a nice feature.

I don't know why they malfunctioned but they did and I had to replace all the code. Your tutorial is a real life saver and now I have emoticons working again. It depends on what commenting system you have - with reply option (threaded) or is it single level (has no reply option)? If you have the threaded comments, then use the 2nd code from step 5. Please write me back if you need more help.
