How To Remove Blogger Attribution Gadget

The Attribution gadget is the gadget in the footer that says "Powered By Blogger". If you have tried to remove this then you may of noticed this gadget is locked into you blog. To unlock it, follow the next steps:

blogger attribution, blogger hacks, powered by

Step 1. Log in to your Dashboard, go to Template > Edit HTML

blogger tricks, blogger hacks,

Step 2. Click anywhere inside the code area and press the CTRL + F keys to open the Blogger' search box

Step 3. Type or paste the following tag inside the search box then hit Enter to find it:
</head>
Step 4. Just above </head> add this code:
<style>
#Attribution1 {
display: none;
}
</style>
Step 5. Click on the Save Template button to save the changes.

That was all !

    I feel don't like the blogger attribute but I heard that if I removed the the attribute the blogger will delete my account. Is that true?

    hm, I don't think so. I had removed blogger attribution from one of my blog since one year ago. But my blog is still up.

    thats the same thing that happened to me so to all readers out there a of august of 2012 this method is not working it will allow you to delete it but then you wont be able to save it ending up with this the attribute there

    Refresh the page and try to remove it again. I've tested on my other blog and had no problems with it.

    I would love to just move it... I want to have a lot of attribution text but it seems that I can't...

    I tried it, and it looks like it words, but then the template changes the attribution value back to true when I try and save it. So it didn't work for me, but thanks anyway!

    Interesting...I deleted the line of code from my template, and experienced the Blogger insta-replacement problem. I tried it again: delete code, IMMEDIATELY delete Attribution gadget from blog, save, refresh. That worked. However, the immovable "Attribution" box is still present in my Layout screen. So far, it doesn't show up on my blog, just the Layout editor. Go Blogger, eh?

    I've tried just about everything listed on this page, but the "Attribution" it's still there. I get an error message after I click remove. It asks me to refresh the page and the Attribution re-appears.

    its not working......I edited in blogger .....by true to false.....when i saved and went to attribute gadget remove button appeared I removed the gadget and saved it.....when i went to save the arrangement......error is flashing in the screen.......please help me out

    quick easy is just go to Template/Customize/Advanced/Add CSS then type this code in:

    #Attribution1 {display: none}

    It will hide it from your blog. Hope this help.

    Search the code with the value changed - open a Notepad and paste the code from step 3 and replace "true" with "false", then go back to Template/Edit HTML and search for the code modified from your notepad! After you found it, change "false" with "true" back. Hope it helps.
